Donald Vega is a distinguished jazz pianist and composer known for his sophisticated technique and deep lyrical playing. Born in Nicaragua, Vega moved to Los Angeles at a young age, where he began developing his musical talents. Vega's resilience and passion for music led him to the Manhattan School of Music and Juilliard, earning accolades for his dedication and artistry. As a member of the Ron Carter Trio, Vega's nuanced playing has contributed to their signature sound. Vega’s collaborations include works with jazz greats Joe Lovano, Diana Krall, Bobby Hutcherson, and Wynton Marsalis have solidified his reputation as a world-class musician.

As a leader, Donald Vega has released critically acclaimed albums such as Spiritual Nature, showcasing his gift for creating emotionally resonant compositions and inventive improvisations. His multicultural background is reflected in his work, blending Latin rhythms and melodies seamlessly into the jazz tradition. Beyond his recordings, Vega has performed with notable figures like Christian McBride, Alfredo de la Fé, and Anthony Wilson. Vega's latest album, "As I Travel" was nominated for a GRAMMY for best Latin jazz album.

In order to preserve the integrity, quiet and focus of our world class intimate concerts, only the charcuterie, cocktails and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime.
