Join our three-part beginner's film workshop, 'Introduction to Self-Content Creation', designed for people looking to utilise their phone's filming capabilities to create professional and captivating visuals to promote their music or brand.
Budding filmmakers and content creators of all abilities are invited to attend this series of FREE workshops on January 25th, February 8th, and February 22nd. Hosted by North-East-based photography and videography company Kraken Cinematic and rapper/BBC Music Introducing in the North East presenter Shakk, in each session you’ll learn essential skills in pre-production, shooting, and editing, as well as enhance your creativity, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge to make the most of zero-budget filmmaking.
The sessions are FREE but booking is required. Participants must be able to attend all sessions.

Session 1: Introduction to Music Video Filming
In this session, we will cover some of the basics of camera operation including how to get the best out of your smartphone camera, lighting and exploring creative ideas. The session will end with a practical demonstration displaying the topics covered.
Session 2: Introduction to Editing
This session will cover how to navigate industry-standard editing software and get you comfortable with editing a basic project including music syncing, adding titles and subtitles as well as colour correction.
Session 3: Editing Workshop
This session will be an open workshop including 1-on-1 help, focusing on editing the project assigned in Session 2.
