You get an intensely personal, fresh, musical and accessible homage to the great Cy Coleman.
Both Janis Siegel,( The Manhattan Transfer ) & Yaron Gershovsky, ( MD for The Manhattan Transfer ) had musical and personal experience with Mr Coleman.Yaron was the vocal arranger for the Tony award winning musical “City Of Angels” and Janis was part of a world class vocal ensemble singing new songs showcasing Cy’s last collaboration with Alan + Marilyn Bergman for The Kennedy Center. This project intends to explore Mr. Coleman’s more well known repertoire as well as his hidden gems, and to delve deeply into Cy Coleman’s jazz sensibilities and his wonderful lyrical partners, supported by the cream of NYC’s jazz community.
