Dougie MacLean
Scotland's pre-eminent singer/songwriter and a national musical treasure' (Sing Out!, USA) with a unique blend of lyrical, roots-based song writing and instrumental composition.
He is internationally renowned for his song Caledonia, music for The Last of the Mohicans and inspired performances. His songs have been covered by Paolo Nutini, Amy MacDonald, Ronan Keating, Mary Black, Frankie Miller, Cara Dillon, Kathy Mattea and many other top performers.
 
Achieving his 50th year as a professional musician in 2024, his popularity is still growing as his weekly broadcasts begun in March 2020 from his Old Schoolhouse (renamed a Global Streaming Theatre) have reached over 4 million viewers Dougie has received two prestigious Tartan Clef Awards, a place in the Scottish Music Hall of Fame, a Lifetime Achievement Award from BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and an Honorary Doctorate and an OBE!
 
This will be only the fourth time that Dougie Maclean has played in Campbeltown having headlined 3 previous sell out concerts at the MOK Fest.
 
Dàna
Dàna are a new and exciting all-female band in their final year studying Traditional Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
 
The band consists of Alex Wotherspoon on piano, Laura Penman on harp, Anna Robertson on fiddle, Eleanor Tout on whistle and Emma Hill on bagpipes. With being a part of the traditional music scene in Glasgow, the girls are driven and are looking forward to allowing more people to listen to their traditional and folk arrangements in the up-and-coming months. Dàna have a busy summer of gigs across Scotland ahead of them, therefore they are sure not to be missed at Mull of Kintyre Music Festival this August
