Thomas the Tank Engine is chugging into the Colorado Railroad Museum this September for the annual Day Out With Thomas™ event. All Thomas fans are invited to come spend the day with the favorite No. 1 Engine. This year, we are celebrating Thomas by encouraging friends of all ages to join the outdoor fun and Dream BIG!
Day Out With Thomas™ is an exciting way for children and grown-ups to enter the world of Thomas and Friends. The event provides an opportunity for kids to ride on-board a train led by Thomas himself, and to take a photo with him, too! Other hands-free activities include live entertainment, scavenger hunt, hay bale maze, stage shows, sing-a-longs and much more! It’s full steam ahead to an unforgettable day with a host of train-related activities, Thomas, and a special appearance from Sir Topham Hatt, the Railway Controller from the Island of Sodor.
Admission includes access to all of the above for three hours. A train ride with Thomas (you will select the departure time when you purchase tickets) is included. On-site pop-up gift shop includes special Thomas & Friends items available only at Day Out With Thomas™. Museum Members DO NOT receive a discount on items purchased in the merchandise tent.
Capacity will be limited and advanced tickets are required, so be sure to reserve your seats. Support your local heritage railroad museum at this outdoor family event that keeps history chugging.
SAFETY MEASURES: The Colorado Railroad Museum is primarily an outdoor attraction, and event capacity has been reduced from prior years (similar to 2020 and 2021 event capacity). As of late July 2022 masks are not required, but we encourage their use whenever adequate distances cannot be maintained. Some of the specific steps we’ve taken to ensure the continued safety of everyone at Day Out With Thomas™ include:
