Saks Fifth Avenue Hawaii Presents
Kala'e Camarillo
Born and raised in Kihei, Maui, Kala’e Camarillo comes from a family of music educators and entertainers. His grandfather, George Camarillo, started the first ʻukulele band in Hawai'i public schools at Waiakea Intermediate, and his father, Rama, followed in his footsteps by becoming an ʻukulele teacher as well. In addition, his mother, Cora, is the sister of multi Nā Hōkū Hanohano award-winner, Lehua Kalima, of Nā Leo Pilimehana.
In 2013, Kala'e entered the local music scene as the lead 'ukulele player and vocalist for the band Simply Sedd, who were finalist in the Kani Ka Pila Grille Talent Search. In 2017, Kala’e released his debut album, “Working Man,” which garnered him a nomination at the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards (Hawaii Grammys), for one of Hawaii's "Most Promising Artists." In 2019, he released his sophomore album, "Feel at Home," which was produced by two-time Grammy Award Winning Producer, Dave Tucciarone. “Feel at Home” went on to win Contemporary Acoustic Album of the Year at the 2020 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards. When Kala’e is not performing as a soloist, he can be found playing along side the legendary Robi Kahakalau (known for many of her hit songs, such as Pi'i Mai Ka Nalu, Makua, Keiki O Ka 'Aina, Love & Honesty, etc.).
We are open. And your safety is our priority.
Temperature checks for all attendees are required. You MUST wear a mask to enter. You may take off your mask while seated at your table however if you get up for any reason you MUST put your mask on. This is for your safety and the safety of everyone in attendance.
Among other precautions, our staff will be temperature checked. They will wear face shields and masks. Our tables will be six feet apart. Artists will perform behind a plexiglass barrier, 10 feet away from the front row. Tables and chairs will be sanitized in between shows. We will offer contactless payment options and hand sanitizers throughout the club.
To accommodate the policies noted above and to stay within state, city, county and CDC guidelines, our capacity has been significantly reduced. Selling complete tables is the only way we can run a sustainable operation; keeping you safe and paying our bands what they deserve. Individual tickets are not available at this time. We are selling entire tables. Please refer to the floor plan above.
Mahalo for your kokua, and for supporting live music in Hawaii.
