UK dub godfather, Adrian Sherwood returns for another heavyweight session live at The Jazz Cafe.
This time he invites dub-rock group Ruts DC. Following in the footsteps of the Clash, the band achieved the perfect crossroads of Reggae and Punk on stage. A heady mix born from eclectic music taste within the band in the late 1970s and 1980s.
Firm favourites of BBC's John Peel, the band originally formed in Southall, a borough which experienced race riots in the 1980s, and were vigorous anti-racist campaigners - a constant theme throughout their music as they fought the presence of fascist sympathisers in the Punk scene.
They reached widespread acclaim with singles like 'In A Rut', 'Babylon's Burning' and 'Staring at the Rude Boys' which was covered by Gallows in 2007.
