RURA
“One of the most exciting bands on the Scottish folk scene” (Songlines), Glasgow’s RURA return to Saint Luke’s for a long-awaited hometown show.
Originally set to round off the UK leg of their extensive tenth anniverary tours in 2020, this rescheduled homecoming follows widespread critical acclaim for their fourth album, Live at the Old Fruitmarket.
Renowned for simultaneously punch-packing yet entrancing instrumentals across fiddle, Highland pipes, flute, guitar, keyboards and bodhran, RURA are firmly at the forefront of 21st century Scottish folk; a position held for much of their decade touring the world together.
Needless to say, most of their birthday celebrations were put on hold until 2021 - gifting the multi-award winners, and fans around the world, another year to mark their milestone anniversary.
