Septermber 3rd marks a momentous occasion in our calendar as we welcome an artist who has defined electronic music over the past two decades, as well as those who are beginning to. Spread across both our Warehouse and Black Studio, Sasha, Patrice Bäumel and Jeremy Olander will be leading the night’s soundtrack, each incredibly talented performers in their own right.
Few superlatives can describe the scale of Sasha’s influence on global electronic music. Heralded as the Child of God on Mixmag’s 1994 cover, it was in this era that Sasha began to etch out a genuine legacy, one that was forged on the back of iconic performances and the release of his genre-defining single: Higher Ground.
A suitably iconic heritage has followed him since these early beginnings, and rightly so. A unique mixing style, moulded in the revered Renaissance club of the early nineties, still underpins his performances today. Couple this with the electric energy that accompanies his sets, and it is safe to say that we are in for something genuinely special as we welcome Sasha for a three hour set.
Jeremy Olander also makes an eagerly anticipated return, fresh from his set with us in November. An advocate of melodically emotive techno, the Swedish native has made an indelible mark since signing to Eric Prydz’ Pryda Friends almost a decade ago. Label-head of Vivrant, recent times have proved equally prosperous for Jeremy, with last year’s reinterpretation of Tove Lo’s ‘Sweettalk My Heart’ amassing close to half a million Spotify streams. It is with great excitement then that we welcome Jeremy back to our space, to craft another windingly beautiful electronic performance.
Nick Castle, founder of the Labyrinth events series, will also be returning. A curator and DJ of exceptional calibre, his talents speak for themselves, with a number of leading performances in our venue already under his belt.
