The Trailer Park Romeos are a group of local Blues musicians brought together by Rick Smith. They have been together in their present line up for 7 years. They specialize in Old Country and Chicago Blues. Playing the music of Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf, Little Walter, Elmore James, Jimmy Reed, John Hammond Jr, Robert Johnson, Tom Waits, and Sonny Boy Williamson.
In the last couple of months The Trailer Park Romeos, along with special guest vocalist, Carl Golden, have embarked on their own Muddy Waters Tribute. Through performance and the telling of historical facts, they chart Muddy’s career from the Mississippi Delta up to Chicago just after World War 2. On June 2nd, they sold out Public Radios performance space, The Atherton, and since then they have done the Haleiwa Art Festival, along with playing for the Hawaii Polo Club in Mokulaiea.
