Art Responds: Films on Fire
“California on Fire,” Art Film by Jeff Frost, 2018 World Premier (25-min)
“Wilder Than Wild: Fire, Forests and the Future,” by Kevin White and Stephen Most, 2018 (60-min)
Jeff Frost’s mesmerizing art film “California on Fire” captures the surreal horror of California’s wildfires in a way that no one else has. The documentary “Wilder Than Wild: Fire, Forests and the Future” by Stephen Most and Kevin White reveals how climate change and fire suppression have exposed our lands to high intensity wildfires – and explores strategies to mitigate the impact of these fires. Also, you may want to visit the visual art exhibition at 1252 First Street in Napa, October 10 – December 15. Art Responds: The Wine Country Fires is a Napa-based contemporary art exhibition and event series curated by Rina Faletti, PhD. to commemorate the 1-year anniversary of the Northern California firestorm and to further the conversation about fire, climate, and environment.
