In 1995 two young New Orleans musicians Mark Mullins and John Gros embarked to form a rock band like no other New Orleans has ever seen. Song oriented rock fronted by a trombone (Mullins), anchored with Gros B3 organ and with the addition of Jimmy Robinson on guitar and Mike Barras on drums, “MuleBone” quickly became one of the most recognizable bands in New Orleans rock. This year marks the 20th anniversary of MuleBone’s award winning debut album “5 Shakes, 7 Spirits”. The band went on to record two full albums although the birth and development of side projects “Papa Grows Funk” and “Bonerama” soon sidelined MuleBone. Until now.
