The 2024 Seagaze Festival, sponsored by KEXP and DKFM
As the Northwest’s first four-day shoegaze, post-punk, and psych rock festival, Seattle’s not-for-profit Seagaze Festival is a smaller grass-roots festival that emphasizes carefully curated, stellar lineups in intimate venues, and artistry and experience over commercialism. Since its launch in 2016, Seagaze has consistently showcased unique and eclectic performances by Pacific Northwest and international bands, providing concertgoers with compelling nights of beautiful noise. The 2024 Seagaze Festival is the first Seagaze festival to be held at the Tractor Tavern after the closing of the Lo-Fi Performance Gallery last summer.

The impact of the Seagaze Festival
Seagaze strives to support both established and up-and-coming bands in shoegaze, post-punk, and psych-rock. Many bands and artists have benefitted from the attention they received from being part of the festival, and bands have the opportunity to connect with like-minded artists from across the country and the world. The festival also serves a valuable purpose in creating community and increasing the audience for shoegaze, post-punk, and psych rock, all of which have had a major resurgence worldwide in recent years. People who are new to the genre experience a carefully curated cross-section of quality acts, while those more versed in the scenes can discover newer and more obscure bands. Everyone hopefully has the chance to broaden their musical horizons. The Seagaze Festival strongly values community and representation, and it strives to build a community of artists who promote and support each other while also strengthening the draw and increasing the profile of such bands.
