Grace Pettis bio:
Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Grace Pettis' music is described as a little bit of folk, a little bit of country/americana, and a whole lot of soul.
Grace is the winner of many of the nation’s most prestigious songwriting contests, including NPR’s Mountain Stage NewSong Contest, and has received grants from the Buddy Holly Educational Foundation. Grace’s songs have been recorded by other esteemed artists, including Sara Hickman and Ruthie Foster with 3 songs on Foster's Grammy nominated album, Healing Time. In addition, Grace has been asked to be an official showcasing artist at AmericanaFest, SXSW, and Folk Alliance International.
Grace has shared the stage with her father Pierce Pettis, Emmylou Harris, Brandy Clark, Mary Gauthier, Joe Brown, Gary Nicholson, Shawn Camp, Jim Lauderdale, and more. She also holds down duties as a member (along with Rebecca Loebe and BettySoo) of the Americana/folk-pop trio Nobody’s Girl
Rj Cowdery bio:
Much like the Midwestern Ohio landscape she calls home, Rj Cowdery's songs are stories of middle ground, and her tales are expressions of being in the midst of life. An injury to a finger on her left hand as a child resulted in Cowdery learning her own playing style out of necessity. The act that compelled her to learn to play differently gave rise to this distinctive technique that’s earned Cowdery her rightful place at the folk table.
Her most recent release, What If This Is All There Is (2019 - GoosePie Music) showcases the title track in a profound call for acceptance, as Rj questions whether her life is already as good as it’s going to get, clearly touching something we can all relate to. “Is There Time” is a song calling us to be more present. “Secret of My Dreams” is perhaps the centerpiece of the album, with its outline of being in the middle of life and the losses and changes that buoy us. “Broken Wheel” breaks unique ground in being, in Cowdery’s words, a “folk menopausal rap.”
Natalie Price bio:
Natalie Price describes her music as "Ameri-kinda", a combination of catchy melodies and smooth, clear vocals that fit firmly into the Americana genre, with a quirkiness weaved into her lyrics that bends toward indie-folk. Price explores complex emotions and experiences through relatable, confessional tales in the singularly authentic manner that has garnered her recognition around Austin as one of the city’s most up-and-coming singer-songwriters.
