THE INTIMATE RECORDING WILL FEATURE PERFORMANCES AND STORIES ABOUT HIS ALBUM “PLAY”
After selling out the Friday, May 31st recording of his live podcast “Moby Pod,” musician and activist Moby has added a second night at The Masonic Lodge in Los Angeles. Along with his co-hosts Lindsay Hicks and Bagel, Moby will celebrate the 25th anniversary of his seminal album “Play,” the biggest-selling electronic album in history, by telling the stories behind the songs and performing acoustically with strings and guest vocalists. The newly added show on May 30 will focus more on the music, and the second will focus more on the stories, context and history. Both shows will include live performances.
Released on May 17, 1999, “Play” features the hits “Porcelain,” “Natural Blues,” “Why Does My Heart Feel Bad?,” “Bodyrock” and more. “Rolling Stone” magazine included the album in their list of the “Greatest Albums of All Time,” and it has sold over 12 million copies worldwide.
