Adelaide is an independent folk/rock artist based in Chicago. Their music touches on themes of heartache and coming-of-age. Much of Adelaide’s inspiration comes from nature, friendship and intimacy. Their third musical project “The Raindrops Were Kisses” was released in the fall.
Chicago indie-rock band Midamerican Elevator lifts vocal harmonies over a busy rhythm section, with guitars traveling between sparkly counterpoint and regenerative drive. They released their latest project, an EP titled "TELL IT TO ME NOW!", in January.
Jane Hobson, a singer-songwriter originally from Madison, Wisconsin, blends post-punk, indie rock, and folk to create her unique sound. Jane honed her musical craft at Oberlin College, where she led the rock band, The Hobgoblins. Other musical influences include The Cranberries, Snail Mail, and Big Thief, all of which contribute to her indie "sad girl"—yet hard-rocking—style.
