After a 15-year hiatus, former Indiana University rock band, Three Minute Mile or “3MM”, will be returning to Chicago to perform a reunion show for their fans. The once touted “Best Band in Bloomington” by the Indiana Daily Student, will return to Chicago from all around the world to perform for the first time in over a decade.
In their short time as a band, 3MM sold out shows throughout the Midwest, and performed with many notable artists such as Foo Fighters, Michelle Branch, New Pornographers, OAR and OKGO. Most notably, they performed at Farm Aid 2001 with Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews, Doobie Brothers, and Martini McBride.
Singer / Songwriters Jason Swift and Mike Stocksdale hail from Austin, TX and Los Angeles, CA respectfully. Mike is currently the only member still performing and recording his solo music. Drummer Justin Seidenberg & multi-instrumentalist, Noah Schwartz, still live in Chicago. Bassist Justin Leone is currently residing in Munich, Germany. Leone is currently the host on the popular cooking TV show, Masterchef. He had a previous stint at Chicago’s culinary king, Alinea.
In addition, Three Minute Mile plan to release a final collection of their old songs which were recorded in 2002 but never released. Dubbed “Loose Ends”, this final album will be released digitally worldwide in August.
